I am going to check this one out once I made it home today.

I have more critical opinion when compared to most players' opinions which I saw on the beta forums, but yesterday evening with Springfield was very good and I had quite a few great moments with the game overall (flamethrower, group banzai, etc.) that I am feeling much more positive towards the product. There are still bugs to be fixed, but once they're finished it'll be quite decent game and I'll sink many hours just like I did with RO2.

Still, I doubt that people who weren't satisfied with RO2 will be satisfied with RS (changes are rather subtle meaning they might be not good enough for their liking, Realism mode loadout won't fit them, etc.). On the other hand I've heard there are Classic servers we have no access to currently. Maybe things will be different there enough to make it as enjoyable for those of us who prefered Classic mode (like I did). Time and tests will tell. I keep my fingers crossed.

You can jump in to Classic servers now. They are available :)

Open door "A" (RS DDE) for 10.79 EUR. You'll get a 40% discount on it (I think you figured that in already, but I'm too lazy to figure it out!). Buying RS ("B") won't do it and "C" upgrades from "B" to "A".

Sorry, but i think i am also too dumb, but if i own RO2 i have to buy the RS DDE or am i wrong with this, because the Normal RS version includes RO2 (and is still cheaper).

and one other thing i heard that if i buy RS via steam i get a cut (low violence) version and it will make RO2 (which is Uncut) also to a cut version ?

question, since it was mentioned a few times in this thread that buying RS would result in a "rising storm"-flag in the dlc-tab of HoS:

i bought RS yesterday, downloaded the beta and played a few rounds already. however, the dlc-tab doesn't mention RS anywhere; only RO2 digital deluxe and RO2 singleplayer. did i misunderstand something or did something go wrong for me here?

i don't want to find myself not having the game after the beta ends...

You own RO2. If you want Rising Storm in addition, you just buy regular RS with 40% discount. If you want the Rising Storm Digital Deluxe benefits you need to purchase the RS DDE. Whichever you buy you have a stackable 15+25% discount as you own RO2.

Getting the cut version is possible but only if you get it from german region. For Germans, a solution could be getting it as a gift from someone outside that region.

Once the current RS beta is over, your RO2 will download a huge update that will include the expansion too. Don't worry.

Will this game finally have the Eyefinity/Surround (triple screen) support RO2:HOS was promised to have? I mean working HUD and menus. This really is the question that dictates if I can purchase this game or not.

No plans for that at this time. It is something we are investigating.

I don't understand anything.. I'm a bit slow-minded though. But what does all this (1 day, 4 day, level 2) etc mean? Will I not be able to play with an M1 Garand if I don't buy the Deluxe version? And is it really worth 7

Imonoz, The "Day 1 unlocks" just mean you get certain weapons unlocked from the start, instead of leveling up to get them.
If the leveling system is the same as RO2, expect to spend a LOT of time in-game to unlock things (57 hours in RO2, and I still don't even have a bayonet). The game is very enjoyable while you get those things, though, and I don't think you'll find yourself at any disadvantage.
I would advise you to play for a while, and upgrade to the Digital Deluxe version if you decide you enjoy it enough.

On a different note, the original Killing Floor RO2 characters still aren't unlocked for me after several restarts and game cache integrity verifications, nor are the TF2 hats. "Red Orchestra 2 - Digital Deluxe DLC" is showing up for me, so that's not the issue.

Thank you guys, for answering me. I'll now buy the game (I'll go for the light version to start with and upgrade to the other if necessary).

EDIT: Just bought the game from Steam 15,00

RS will be the same build as RO 2 when it launches. RO 2 beta is our beta build for RO 2 (you do not need to install). RS Beta is the current build we are using to beta test RS (this is the one you want to install to play in the beta).
