wow the rising storm mod is look amazing, they should explore other less know battles of the Pacific front such as the Australia v Japan on Kokada trail in PNG which poorly trained, poorly equipped troops in the most horrendous of condition completely out numbered hell back thousands of Japanese troops capturing Port Moresby while the full army was out fighting rommel in the middle east.

The whole America destroy japan in the same old battles have been done before. Tho this still looks great.

America destroying anyone isn't what Rising Storm & RO is about, its seeing and experiencing the battles from both perspectives and not having a typical linear "cod/moh" campaign from only the Allied side. So question remains have it been done before in the RO way? Not what I can remember.

A russian-Japan mod would be nice too but this is not the general modding forum:p

Also, normally a very good mod takes at least a year to produce and sometimes more, which will start AT launch.

So instead of having RS in 2013 we have it in Q1 2012 [speculation].
It might not be at launch, but it beats everything else:D

Now only a release for Iron Europe:rolleyes:

Im just worried about mods competing with each other. IE, RS, ICV, Red Orkestra 40k etc. If theres a separate server browser for each, the servers will be emptier than Section 8.

The best is not to worry about mod competing to much. First play RO HOS when its released. Waiting while gaming isn't really hard. Then you just wait to see what and when will be released. I'm looking forward to a nice winter of gaming with these mods as a bonus.

Word is they are released when they are done. Which is always a good decision. :p

It will be months. But really, that's the most sensible thing if you think about it. If we were to release immediately after HoS, we'd have to compete with vanilla HoS for players, which we don't want to do! :)

Yeah, that's what I was thinking ;)
You guys take your time, ROOST kept me busy for a good 6 months (bought it this January, unfortunately, not too many servers up anymore).
I can safely assume RO2 could keep me busy for like a year or two. (Also I'm getting married in early October) :)
