I would pick up planes that are not in the Iron Cross Edition. The ICE version goes on sale for $20 on Amazon every now and then. I think that comes with 6 extra planes.

The damage modeling is very nicely done in this game. Seeing the wings of your target tear apart never gets old.

You get two planes for free, if you just go with the free version you can pick and choose almost all your planes. Price might be about the same, not sure.

Shame the field mods are not discounted but you should consider buying some of them for your favourite planes, the ALDIS sights are excellent and the French and German planes are much nicer to fly with altimeter and thermometers.

This is the best flight sim Ive ever played, and Ive been playing it like mad for months. Just watch out for the Camels, they're a bit overpowered, but other than that its brilliant!
