Resting MG's

So now we can rest MG's just about anywhere right? Wonder if we can do this:

If i recall right i've seen a recent german trainings youtube vid some time ago where they did thesame in the modern day with a mg3 (although probably with earplugs)

its an Mg34

and it was and still is a common practice in the german army

I'm guessing they only use burst fire? Wouldn't it heat up too much? And the muzzle flash, you'd think that would have a bad affect on the dude... haha

the common practice ALLWAYS is to only use small bursts
anything else would be waste of ammo and would overheat the weapon way too fast

and why would it heat up more than using it deployed ont he bipod?

and hell I wish I can melee attack with the mgs, should be possible and just think of the impact of 12kg in the enemy's face!

Also I think that present unmounted MG firing is too much bad due to abnormal recoil moving. It looks like 1 hand shooting without use of second hand.

there is no MG32
only mg 34 or 42
