Resistance and Liberation, WW2 HL2 mod "most realistic experience possible".

Is it just me or does the M1 Garand firing sound alot like a louder version of RO's pistol fire sounds? Not accusing anything just pointing out a similarity I thought I heard.

K98's sounds were perfect, nice boom and action sounds.
Just FWI, the RnL guy, Brian Feiser, is actually a full blown professional sound engineer. I know you weren't accusing him of stealing, but the fact stands -- all of RnL's sounds are completely original, and yes I think they are quite amazing.

I'll DL the latest SVN update for the mod and always be shocked at the new sounds he adds or updates. Really great stuff, so kudos to him.

Then give Brian my personal thanks due to the loud, booming sounds. I'm also glad that the foot steps seem to be very loud. Throw in some breathing sounds, and it'll be like the atmosphere of RO when it was a mod. I really miss the loud, gritty sounds of RO.
Well not all of them are loud. Brian has made custom footstep sounds for almost any surface you can think of. Even changing from Grass to gravel to concrete, you'll hear a difference for all running or prone sliding sounds. Alot of work, I'm sure.

I thought I would bump this thread because a couple of the RnL devs made some silly driving videos that are all in-game on the map Ste Marie Du Mont.

The videos are not meant to be official trailers or anything serious at all... hence the reason they aren't on the front page. So, take em with a grain of salt on the seriousness side, but they do give you a good idea of the size and scale of RnL's maps.
