Resetting KF2 perks

Hello there.
I did something that I am not proud of, and that would be statpadding, or whatever you call it. In other words, I simply played on a map decided to pump my perk levels up to 25 sky high. I only did that to see what the perks would do, but I want to get that level the actual way - fight my way up there. So is there a possibility to reset my perks or my stats?

I think there's command that resets perks in console in game but I cannot recall what is its name. However you need to know there's no way back once you reset stats.

Here is how Yoshiro said to do it in KF1:

(NOTE: you will need to figure out which .ini is used for KF2 to do this).

To intentionally reset stats:

You open the killing floor .ini and add

[Engine.SteamStatsAndAchievementsBase]
bResetStats=true

then save and exit, start up to be sure everything is reset, close the game. Reopen Killing floor.ini

Remove
[Engine.SteamStatsAndAchievementsBase]
bResetStats=true

Save .ini

Your stats are reset! Stat progression should now work as normal from 0-6 again. Be sure to remove the stat reset line, or I don't think it'll save progression. This also removes achievements."

In KF2 you need to go to the console and type

resetstats "steamname"

to reset your stats. Some people have said that you might have to type it for a few times, restart Steam & KF in order for it to work

Thanks gov'na. It worked. I only had to add that line in the KFGameStats.ini

Sorry to necro this thread out of no where but could someone confirm that this method is safe and won't **** up a new perk progression?

This resets all perks to zero and there is no going back to previous levels.

BTW, I have heard mixed things about it resetting achievements too. Some reports say it does others have said it didn't. I've never used it myself.

Why you didn’t add an official option for a clean reset? I would really like to start all over again, but I guess console commands won’t help me on Xbox.
