Well there are console commands to spawn friendly Zeds.

spawnai Fhu - Spawns a friendly Husk.

spawnai Fha - Spawns a friendly version of Hans.

They are currently the only friendly Zeds that can be spawned. More may be added in the future.

+1 to bots. Always loved playing CS with bots on a server that is not full that will remove bots as players join. Same for KF1 servers that had this. I enjoyed playing with friends on servers like this too. I would prefer a similar setup to what Perfect Dark and Counter Strike had. You could change how aggressive bot were and even what weapons they were allowed to use for each bot.


Good luck Marco, I hope you succeed.... That or TWI moves forward with this once KF2 is a shelf ready full build game (other then the additional content we hope to keep seeing for years to come).

I believe we can change code now?
I've had a look at some of the unreal script, but I'm lost without some documentation.

It's possible to reverse-engineer of course, but I'd rather hold on to my life and not become a hermit.

The code can be modified now so there is hope , i pray for some crazy skilled modder to come up with bots :D ( Marco plz )

learn to program guys, bots afaik are not a trivial thing to add to a game, unless the game already has navigation and lots of interfaces for everything the bot should do (stick to you, have personalities, what weapons to carry and use, grab goodies, choose perks, etc). And if it does, you can do it too

Well today I made a breakthrough in developing bots for KF2, I was unable to use the engine AI movement functions because it was crashing. So as a workaround I had to write my own in UnrealScript.

You can try out this early alpha version here. To play it in solo you must extract it to KFGame/BrewedPC folder in KF2. Once game has launcher you need to bring down console by pressing Tilde key and type in command: Open KF-BioticsLab?Mutator=KF2Bots.KF2BotsMut
It only contains a simple AI that runs around and shoot zeds on sight nothing more.

Marco i run a lan server with which i have been messing around with your server extension and i would be happy to test out your bot mod as you further develop it.

Just wondering is there a way to get this to run on a server? i tried but only got errors when starting up the server.

Also would love AI Bots to play with. Nice to do when your internet is down. I always used to use the AI Bots mod in KF1 and would love to see it here. Keep up the good work!

I'd also really like to see bots for solo play! It really changes the character of the game and would be a vast improvement for KF2!

Official bots would be really awesome - however if Marco manages to up the bots mutator to the level of the bots in KF1 that would be totally awesome!
