Hey

I am sick of lvl 6 noobs and people who "troll" by wielding doors. I don't know anyone with a server that we can play on so I was thinking of renting one. Can you please give me some advice on which places are good for renting servers. I prefer public but private is good (cheaper) aswell and it has to be in EU.

By doing search in the forum I got this:

It is 110 euro for one year and that is a bit expensive for me. Anywho if the cheaper servers are with worse quality I think I'll get this one ...

Any advices will be greatly appreciated :)

Well I know this is off-topic but you must be on the wrong servers for that to happen. Me and my other admins don't allow any actions like that on our servers because we believe in teamwork is the key, and you're here for fun. it's based in the UK (my house :D)

If there is any problems, you can always contact me through steam or xfire as im always here waiting for someone to message me about idiots or crashs.

I think it's all down to ill-treated servers where admins aren't checking up on it often or atleast enough. Try maybe look around for better servers before trying to spend on something you're not sure about.

Hello RuMan.

I've rented servers from a few different company.

This is a good company to rent a server from, if you have never rented a server before. The admin control are very simple and easy to use and also there support is quite good to. Map downloads are quite fast which is always good, but if you would like to add new maps or mutators and stuff like. You can't add them yourself you upload via the clanforge and one of the multiplay support staff will add them to the server for within a few days. So your not a full admin of the server your more manager of it, but its a great server to have if your a noob to renting servers.

This is a good company to rent a server from too. Now with this one you have full admin control you can upload whatever you via FTP maps\mods\mutators and you can change all most everything's do to with the server. There are some buts the download are real crap in less you signup to the redirect download subscription then the map downloads speeds are much better. This feature is not free you aft to pay for it I think its around $60 a year or $5 month on top of the server rent cost.
There support is also very good and helpful too.

This is a great company to rent a server from too. Its the same has gameserves you have full admin control so you can do whatever you like with the server. The one thing which is real cool with this one is the download are real fast, and there is no extra cost for that which is great.
There servers are Paris - France so you should get a better ping from these I would think. There support like the other two is very good and helpful.

I don't work for any of these company I just rent server from the three of them and I'm just giving you and others my honest opinion.

If you search the killing floor server list and look for these below.

FS1 - A test for you. lol - Normal but little bit different!
FS2 - I got 99 problems but Killing ZEDS ain't one!
FS3 - Who Dares Wins Hard Long

I can say Multiplay and GameServers I have used before but for the game Unreal Tournament GOTY (1999). They were pretty good but nothing stands better then hosting it myself. GameServers at the time did have major lag problems of where the servers you bought were located but it seems they have improved massively since. Multiplay is probably the easier one to use as last time I checked, they give like a dummy guide version of a server for you compared to other server renters.

Roxgaming I haven't heard of so I couldn't comment on them.
