I have my game music completely muted, yet every time I'm at the perk selection screen waiting for other players to be ready, the same annoying, repetitive rock music theme plays in the lower left corner and interferes with my own music. Why doesn't muting KF game music mute this? It's really annoying tbh, and I will end up leaving the server rather than wait because I don't like hearing it play over my own music. Muting game music should mute this, or there should be an option.

Because it's an advertisement. That's how they advertise their other products like new DLC or Red Orchestra.

Soz mate, its an advert, like those on youtube or review websites. It only lasts like 20 seconds or so. I am sure you can handle a little 20 second ad every now and again

I agree that it's annoying, especially when I've already bought the product it's advertising. I always have in-game music turned off since I use TeamSpeak when I play, and it's annoying to be talking only to be suddenly interrupted by loud music that I can't disable.
Hey, whatever happened to the other adverts? Now it's just TWI's own ads. I miss the random old ads, as they gave you something to watch whilst waiting. :c

What is the point of advertising a game that is already paid for? I bought KF already, so why advertise it every single time I try to play online? Doesn't really make much sense IMO.

You can just replace the KF music files with your own, then your music doesnt get interrupt by anything

Simple. Just get your own music, save it in .ogg format, and give each sone the exact name of whatever it is you want to replace in the Killingfloor/music folder.
TWI want to do it and I don't see any harm in it. Sure, a couple of really whiny people will complain about it all the time; but that is bound to happen with just about everything. Even the M14 nerf...
Speaking of which I just saw someone using the M14, won't mention their name cause they know who they are... but they were beasting with it.

Go to Steam/steamapps/common/killingfloor/music
Now you got every music file there that is used in killing floor. You can jst over write them with your own ones, but they have to be a .ogg file
You have to find out wich music file is wich but you gonna know what it is when you hear it.
I just replaced the patriarch music with Dont Stop me now from Queen
makes the patriarch fight epic and chaotic as hell
You cant replace the advert, but you can replace the rest of the music with your own, so your music doesnt get interrupted by the adverts because its perfectly timed and doesnt start before the advert
