Thought i'd make a poll on this, as per other thread:

I think this would help the game immensely, like the old days of RO where you had no knowledge of how many times you have died.
I wouldnt be fussed if there were no stats at all but doing this might free up the stat-junkies to getting into the thick of it more rather than hanging back.
Sure keep your kills stats and such but yeah...
Just a thought!

Yeah, remove them from stats. It just punishes people who actually try for objectives and rewards those idiots who thing everything with a bolt action is a sniper rifle.

Thanks for the poll.

Already voted yes.

Already played with some guys on TS and they actually said they will stay back and pick off guys to increase their K/D ratio instad of attacking.I mean how gay is this ?

This just sucks. This pushes camping, staying back, not supporting , not doing risky moves not capping.

Yes soldiers tried to stay back and safe their lifes but they didn't say "**** you sir, i won t attack, i ll stay here all day long, why capture this bulding, it s much safer here, let s pick off some guys either"

I agree. I want them removed. I am perfectly happy with the old style of showing just the score, but i don't mind that the kills are there, and i understand that many of the cod-whatnot ppl probably feel that they are at least needed.
Heck, i am even totally fine with the RnL system where there is only one score; Your team either loses or wins, everything else is irrelevant :D

tbh... I dont care.

I'd say most people would rather be top of the board, Rather than half way down with a best k/d.

No.

Deaths shows how much tactic you apply into your gameplay.

Not necessarily when regarding this game.
Many times when i have topped the leaderboard and helped my team win (tactically the point) i have had more deaths, from getting in the cap zone, maybe getting a kill while capping an objective like im supposed too.

Time after time i see my team lose because half the damn side is sitting at the next objective back or spawn area popping off any enemy that show their head.

I somewhat guarantee if they weren't worried about their deaths and/or K/D statistics they would move up more often and more enthusiastically.

I still hope come BF3 we can get a "better" core player base, maybe i will ask the question again then

Voted no, because a healthy kill/death ratio and a healthy "fear" of death is not in itself an indicator of selfish or poor team play.

Being dead hurts your team. Killing enemies, especially in objectives, helps your team. Corpses do not capture objectives, and there are limited number of reinforcements per team per round.

So team players and lone wolves alike want a positive kill/death ratio.

even if you go 0/15 but are there to cap all the objectives on the way to victory then your worth more to the team and technical victory than someone who has a healthy K/D ratio no!?
and hey, is that not how the Russians claimed victory in the first place :p

Yes, because rushing and dying is a part of the coregameplay and its awarded aswell.
