@OP, if you want to change the reloading animations to be more accurate, then you have to be willing to loose the ability to carry ammo over from spent magazines.

Plus, you would also need to loose the ability to read how many bullets are in the gun, so you'd have to count to get the better animation. In real life, I imagine you just shoot until it goes click then reload (when dealing with automatic or semi automatic weapons).

@Noupperlobeman
I see what you're saying about people relying on the "it's not worth Tripwires time" excuse, it is viable only when something does take a lot of time. Something like adding a new gun or a new perk or new zed or something, fair enough, use the excuse. But to also assume that Tripwire wouldn't want to do something is wrong and should therefore not be stated. This is exactly what Noupperlobeman was trying to say. People can not go saying something about another persons stance on an issue if they themselves don't actually know how that person feels.

@Benjamin
To assume someone is a bad player simply due to this arguement is bulls*** and is ignorant and obviously flame bait. Keep that sort of thing to yourself, it is unconstructive and gets people (like me) riled up. I do not mean to attack you in any way, but seriously, please consider your posts before you post them because that appears to be deliberetly hurtful.

Now to the issue, I believe that this would be good, especially if there are already community animations out there. This would cut down severely on Tripwires 'precious time' and allow them to make an easy fix with minimal effort. If the guns can be a slightly faster reload due to a more realistic animation, then I'm up for it. If they don't implement it, i'll live, i'm fine with the reloads as is if this proves to be unworthy of a fix.

If the animations are changed on the basis of realism (game realism) then the current animations are actually better then the suggested ones.

The charging handle being pulled ejects the unused round. (Even if nothing is ejected in the animation.) Meaning that the ammunition in the weapon is consistent such as in the standard AK-47 you will always have 30 rounds on a reload. To not do that would mean you have 31 rounds (30 in the clip and one in the chamber.) requiring a change of weapon coding as well.

More to the point at hand most of ya'll need to take a bit of a pill. Its my experience that suggestion forums are for suggestions. No matter how you feel about them. Mostly they are good for a chuckle when you are bored at work but seriously?

Calm yee oldie KFers. Calm. Sweeping statements of an asinine nature such as has been used puts people off more then anything. Construction before Degradation.

At best it's a minor nitpick that pretty much only gun nerds would notice.

No such thing as gun nerds, generally someone at my skill level in real life is pretty high up there on defensive skills, nothing nerdy about that.

It is annoying, though, but Firearms half life and some tactical shooters I have played are the only games that have ever gotten reloads correct. FA has mags, and you do +1 with mag reloads. I have given up on expecting games to get it right.

Plus, you would also need to loose the ability to read how many bullets are in the gun, so you'd have to count to get the better animation. In real life, I imagine you just shoot until it goes click then reload (when dealing with automatic or semi automatic weapons).

No, it is called a tactical reload, and is a realistic tactic. You reload the magazine in a lull in the fighting, so you always have a full mag, and reloading before you empty your mag saves the time of charging the weapon. As far as shooting until it clicks, I was trained to kind of keep a mind of how many shots you have fired. Also, I can tell how full a mag is by the weight.
