Well, I don't think it is a good idea to have it as a "default" - it is not suitable for everyone to say the least.
BUT.
They could implement it as "feature" that can be turned on/off just like a mutator.

The game needs to be playable for the masses (some of these things might be annoying or even worse for casual players) - TWI needs to make profit, for our sake as well. However it would be nice to have some kind of "hardcore" mode where these "mutators" could be enabled to make the gameplay more.. challenging.

A definite possibility. They could also implement it and other things slowly, depending on the difficulty they're playing on.

Interesting idea! Don't think I have ever seen that before in a game.

Play Insurgency then.

NO it doesn't. RO2 tried to be to playable for the masses and it failed on both ends - too casual for the fans, too hard for the masses lol..

In KF1 they were so lazy that you couldn't load a single shell into hunting shotgun, so don't expect much.

From what I have read online they seem to have put a lot of effort into animations, including the reload animations. The fact that each weapon has four says a lot.

It is a bigger team this time around and being built from the ground up so they are free to be as creative and zany with the animations as they like.

I have high hopes.

in one of the videos they mentioned mo capping a guy who trains soldiers on reloading firearms under different situations. they then mentioned reloading wont be sped up but that the animation changes to a faster technique

so maybe they screwed up, though i'm erring towards ludicrous level of detail recorded at 240+ FPS

as a side note, why record guns firing at above 240 fps? we all know zed time only occurs while your reloading anyway

I like the exaggerated sounds. For example in the FarCry series the weapons have always sounded mechanical and metallic, on the other hand a game like Black Ops 2 where the reloads sound like plastic on plastic on each and every gun kind of detracted from the experience for me.

Never underestimate the importance of proper sound design.

I wish every dev took care in doing their audio, adds so much to the experience
Apparently the software for audio location in 3D space has stagnated over the years or something, I remember reading an article about it, there's no innovation anymore

Thats not true at all.

It was a joke thoughhhhh
