I noticed something while using the K98k;

Frequently When I shoot 1 bullet and reload, it reloads 2 bullets. When I shoot 2 bullets, it reloads 3. When I shoot 3 and so on....
And if I shoot all my bullets, I don't have 6 bullets in my magazine, so this must be a reloading bug.

Is it know already? I couldn't find anything about it.

Brought up in another thread...

When you open your bolt, it ejects 1 live round, so an additional bullet must be added.

The "bug" is that your character doesn't hold down the chambered round caught by the bolt with his left thumb when pulling back the bolt. You hold your thumb there to keep the chambered round from being ejected when pulling back the bolt. This is done when topping off the magazine of a bolt action rifle, but currently not modelled in RO2, maybe because the other method, albeit wasteful, is faster.

This is definitely bugged. On FallenFighters just now, I fired one shot, and it reloaded four.

Now that is a bug, and I've experienced that one as-well. Ingame I've also experienced reloading 8 shots into a K98k, which was very strange, since it only holds 5 :p

As for the two round reload after just one shot (having already cycled the bolt after firing 1st shot), it would be nice if they had the character prevent the chambered round from ejecting completely by having him cover/hold it down with his left thumb. That way it doesn't fly off and get lost. Although on second thought that might be abit excessive to model.
