I couldn't resist to write an own update for it to fix some issues:

Also implemented a "PortalGun.PortalGame" game mode in it for PG testing maps and made a small sample map with it:

Start it from in-game with consolecommand: Open PG-TestMap?Game=PortalGun.PortalGame
It's just 2 rooms with 2 smaller tests, nothing else yet...

nice, it is very enjoyable if using for fun, but it turns to be the most deadliest weapon in actual game :rolleyes: one is okay though but when it is two in the hand whose know how to use it ... zeds hardly touch you and your team. zeds now need anti-portal mutator ! :eek:

I've seen players put specimens in endless loops. Would it be possible to limit portal use to only the player who created it? Thanks.

This mod was really aimed to encourage modders/mappers to create Portal themed maps using the content released in the potato update.

Hopefully they will get bored doing it as it could be used to get youself out of tight spots by dropping the zeds
somewhere else.

Please update again, as for some reason the fix on the texture file did not save, so I have uploaded another version with the fixed texture file.

Well I actually did some more work on this, more features and bugfixes for portalgun/game aswell as implemented the actual portal sounds for it:

So here's in short what I added:
- Fixed some online glitches with entering/exiting the portals.
- Fixed some rotation glitches when passing through portals.
- Added screen flash when passing through them (only works in PortalGame mode due to some broken features in UE2).
- Added correct portal sounds.
- Added lasers from Portal 2 which can pass through portals (yet need to add some reflector cubes too) to be used to create puzzles.
- Added "pgPortalSurface" volume which can be placed inside "pgNoPortalSurface" volumes to set as exceptions in "no portal rooms".
- Fixed HUD name display on PortalGame mode.
- Removed all upscaling/downscaling crap from the portals and put up a better 'portable' surface detection.
- Prevented placing portals on-top of each other.
- Added support for fly through air music by setting PhysicsVolume.AmbientSound (through you better set the SoundVolume to 0 too so it can't be heard from the volume)
Now the physics of the portals is nearly perfect, it just freaks out camera view direction a little bit if you view straight up or down when passing through. Also I've detected that sometimes you die (online only!) when entering portals which are right next to each other on a corner of 2 walls.

You still on about this autogun? Jeez, its becomin a sport of bothering modders with abandon mods. Just move on and learn how to do it by code, for something that easy you dont need a program to do it for you.

And dont spam BD in a topic that not even about that n00b program you want so much, just face the fact that it might not be comin at all and learn code by yourself. Install SDK and get diggin into the KFMod folder. Its also more fun to figure these things out, hehe.

It doesn't really take much time to "dig around" anyway...

If you have time to surf these forums then you have time to figure it out by yourself probably. The basic stuff isn't really that difficult and doesn't take a long time you know...

with that turret idea i just had i was thinking of branching it off the portal turret but i havent the slightest idea of how to do so, can anyone give me a bit of help?

I dont even know what this mod is,but Hemi,it looks like you think of normal people as "silly peasants" compared to the godlike appereance of a modder.If you didnt write your comment to this person beggin for the said mod he would just have been ignored.There are some mods out there that had potential,yet were never fully develloped,like the KF 1.0 map i loved to play,yet was incomplete and had no multiplayer option.I begged,got some small answers and was then ignored.

Sadly,i wanted to learn how to do Source mods and cant learn both source and unreal while trying to deal with my life.

well anyways, for people like me starting out the auto gun coder would be a great help if we were stuck and didn't have time to learn how it all works(like myself) yes it may be abandoned but i did hear that BD was re-creating one from scratch and i understand he has many more important things to do than create it but i was just wondering how it was coming along.

Edit: ok guys if we're gunna keep talking bout the auto gun coder let's carry it over to the auto gun coder thread so we don't derail this thread

I hate when people compare us to so called gods. Were absolutly not, we just get annoyed when you guys keep wining..cous thats what it sounds like when your posting : "Is this released yet? WTF happened, I want to know NOW!!!"

All the stuff we do you can pick up by yourself. Its not rocket sience. My comment was more pointed at the fact that sometimes you need to take measures into your own hands instead of posting on every dead thread in the forums. BD hasnt posted all his tutorials for nothing yunno.

It basicly comes down to READING a forum, which some of you dont even try and just blindly respond to every topic ever made. :D

i understand that Hemi, but my intentions differ from what you derived from my previous post, i was not nagging him for an answer it has just been about a week now with no news on if he trashed the idea or if it is on a stand-still so basically we didn't know anything from the fact that he started a new one from scratch so i got a little curious, nothing wrong with that rite? BD i thank you for replying to me, now since that is out of the way back to trying to figure out how I change the portal turret bullet type. back to the good old search function and google and youtube :)
