No there is no release date, Q2 or 3 are most likely.
No there is no information on the Beta at all.
Please use search to avoid wrath.

Steam says Q1 (can't see that given that beta hasn't started as far as we know)
1C Publishing says Q3.

Although, on another note...
YOU HAVENT PLAYED ROOST YET? GO BUY IT OMG GEEEZZ WOAH HOLY CRAP.
Best game I've played eva.
Bear in mind, one of the critiques of the original (ROOST), was it had a very steep learning curve. You may need to slog through it for a few hours to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's magic.
The sequel (ROHOS) is designed to be easier to learn, yet be even more realistic (at least at the hardcore mode). So if you find ROOST too hard, don't be discouraged.
And don't expect a Single Player game in RO1. It has bots, but bots =/= single player. RO1 is meant to be enjoyed multi-player.
