Hello Tripwire Interactive community!

My question is.

Thank You!

Thx LemoN! :)

I was counting on answer like this becouse all my multiplayer games are on Steam.

Also:

1. Retail are better becouse Steam = higher price
2. Download time.

Anyway can't wait this game!

It was possible with RO:Ost. Mine was retail and could be activated on steam. Though nowadays Valve is all about plundering their customers, greedy as ever. I fear retail and Steam versions will be separate or both high priced.

i get most of my games from steam because of how many sales there are and just never having to worry about losing my copies of games. and you get to preload and play right when it's out, atleast ussually with pre orders.

I think RO2 will be available in local stores, but you will have to activate BOX version @ steam, which is same solution as RO:O had.

Price in local store will be more fair for sure, however all needed updates you will have to download from steam after installing game from box.

This simply isn't true.

The digital version is almost always cheaper, because there's nothing to manufacture or distribute.

I Agree, manufacture and distribute of digital version is way cheaper than retail, but rest of sentence is not true, not in all countries. E.g. Steam sells new AAA products for 39-49 euro, when retail BOX in local store usually cost 15-35 (PC games).

Umm, no. Living in one of the most expensive countries in the world, I have NEVER seen a game that is cheaper on steam than in the stores, unless it was at sale at steam, in which case it doesn't count. Sometimes steam and retail is the same price, often it is more expensive on steam.

i will be getting ro2 on steam, but yeah many games are cheaper in the store in australia... since lots of publishers slap an extra $40usd on my new release for us.

Not necessarily, but then again, it's always better to have the hard copy, which quite often comes with some nifty material.

The only moment steam is cheaper is when its one of those special sales. Otherwise they always as the default retail price while all retail outlets are about 40% cheaper. At least that is the case in Europe.

I think it is quite different in the US, but I guess you guys may be gettin the shaft there in Europe.
