Ah ok; Could this possibly be why my game is stuck at "update 1%" ?

That should clear itself up shortly. We ran into an issue in pushing it out and have revert it back.

YOSHIRO!

Is it needed to double my and others bug posts from this thread to the bugs thread - or you have informed developers already?
Or we need to copy our bug reports by ourselves??

Confirm pls...

It would be better if the library would show 3 Versions

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad
Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad Beta RC
Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad Beta

I don't seem to have the option to opt in when going into properties in Steam on the beta.

My biggest fear is that the "Action" (Arcade) mode will bring in a lot of casuals so that the server list will be full of Action servers while containing little to no populated classic or realism servers.

The other issue that wasn't addressed is bots. As far as I can see, bots could be just as prevalent as they are now with the exception of having some more players in the mix. I guess this isn't really TI's fault as much as it is server operators.

I guess my biggest worry is every server only having Action mode to please all the CoD converts.

Other than that, everything sounds good. For the people that were complaining about not enough content: that will come in time. They've changed the core engine in this release for crying out loud, they've done an enormous amount of work to ensure that the base game itself is good.

Now that there is a stable foundation, TI is free to add new content as they please and probably has a lot on the back burner already.

I don't think that will happen..If we do get the influx of new players many of them will be returning from the early initial release days.

Many admins will be running either Classic or Realism servers and those like TWB who have more resources will be running a selection of servers.

Either way lets hope we can finally get a good solid base of regular players that allow people some real choice on where they can play..;)

Exactly!! WE too at RGN will be running a selection of game modes on our servers. We want to see everyone have a goodtime. Especially during the free weekend.

I just quickly tried the Opt In locally (using the open ... command) and I noticed bandaging still only took 2 secs?

Yikes. Looks like that 99% flashing bug is back. I don't doubt it'll be fixed soon enough, but bringing it to attention doesn't hurt.

More bizarro things going on with the opt-in beta download. After reaching the flashing 99% I verified the game cache and got tat the end it dispolayed "12 files failed to validate and will be reaquired". Without clicking anything, the original opt-in beta started downloading again from sctatch and when it reached 99% again it immidiately began to re-download from the beginning. I also closed and then re-opened Steam somewhere in there just for good measure. It's now downloading from the beginning; again.

Another problem, my computer morphed into a giant white-male-hating monster and is trying to eat me and the majority of the US supreme court while I was trying to install the beta. Is this normal?

Mine's been redownloading over and over as well, reaching 99%, flashing for 10 minutes and then starting over.

I could guess they're banging on the content servers trying to find something that works.

RC 4 is going out now. Our fingers are crossed.
