Are you from the united states? I'm from the U.K and no hope here, tried another install. This time COMPLETING vanilla then opting into the beta, allowing the download but to no avail..

I started uninstalled, and opted in immediately. I then uninstalled completely, removing all game files, installed ordinary, confirmed it worked, and finally opted into the beta. Still didn't work.

Hello!
I have a few observations concerning the opt-in beta (I don't know if it has been brought up before), some could considered to be bugs.

Bug(?), or gameplay restriction:
- singleplayer campaign is greyed out, not accessible (I gues, this normal, but I haven't seen official information about it)
- after changing magazine, the PPSh-41 model was changed to the drum magazine model
- I was unable changing my class from assault to rifleman, no matter the avatar commited suicide, respawned just like the previous class (assault).

Other:
- Performance is better on my laptop - it was good before, but I could say it got just better (smooth framerates, etc.)
- The new typo looks cool
- MamajevKurgan map is an instant classic, great job! Fighting in the trenches is indeed terrifying.

Got a problem. The update is stuck at 99% and steam keeps flashing Suspended/Update/Suspended/Update etc.

Exactly the same here, it's just stuck at 99% and always flashing and switching to other states. Even the download bar is bugged and jumps off its axis.

• Separate-beta: NO. (I had it installed but since I was going for the opt in I uninstalled.

It actually worked before. I was able to get the game running. The first time I just deleted the config files and downloaded the game over the previous release. Everything worked fine but when I changed the resolution to 1920x1080 and joined one of the opt in servers the game just crashed.
If I left the resolution as it's default it would join the server just fine

Well, now I've tested both from fresh beta install and updating a working copy of the standard game. Neither worked...

I have already dl this file several times. Than i have disabled the option, and have to download it again. Whats going on. Already 15 gb in common dl. Whats going on, it looks buggy to me. Pls help

Well, now I've tested both from fresh beta install and updating a working copy of the standard game. Neither worked...

When you updated from a "working copy" of the standard game, did you install it (run it at least once)? Or just get it downloading to 100% and then opt into the beta?

Just install it, (Waited for the white text 100%) then chose "opt-in" for the beta.

I will try installing vanilla fresh, running it, then opting in.

EDIT: Ok; I'm installing fresh now. Will tell you the result when I've tried it doing your proposed method.

Thanks, I am running a similar test here. I think this may be our culprit.

Probably because some files aren't actually created til the first time the game is run, but i'm sure Yoshiro will correct me if i'm wrong.

Used the beta opt in via properties. Works fine but obviously can't get onto vanilla servers. 3 opt in beta servers showing in the browser.

Happy to live with that for now as the release is around the corner.

above didnt work, got stuck in download, update, loop.

changed my non unicode localisation to us(english), still looping, changed my download server to frankfurt, downloaded final 3% ro2 works!

fixed in frankfurt, i hope!

I got another issue: I, for some reason, can't save the "update the game automatically" setting in the game properties, after I right clicked! I'll set it that way but when I go back to it and check I will find it unsaved, so I will see the "don't update the game automatically" setting still on.

Plus, I don't know if it's supposed to be this way, but I can't see any online server in either the vanilla version or the beta (not referring to the new opt in beta).

There are no servers up for the stand alone beta, and if you have opted into the beta build and then opted out, your game .ini's are still looking for updated servers. You will need to delete your config files to be able to see servers once you have opted out.

Okay, I have deleted my config files and now it's downloading
Thanks Yoshiro for the prompt response.

When It's completed, I will be able to run the game: is it gonna run the normal version or is it gonna give me the option to run the opt it beta version?
