Too much talk about the singleplayer imo, also I'll never get the point with the graphics, its not like they are superior but the other big shooter this autumn don't offer better graphics at all.

Beside that, is Armchair General something special? Never heard of it though

Solid prose, but it reads more like a preview or a 'Let's Play' than a serious review. The commentary leans heavily towards listing what the features are, rather than how they actually work in practice.

FTA:

"Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad definitely delivers a much-needed realistic, extensive, and immersive single player campaign."

...

Right then.

You gotta' love those bots that run around like headless chickens, but still have the ability to randomly pull of aim-bot style shots.

Super realistic and immersive!

I was very put off by his favourable description of the singleplayer campaign which I consider the only broken part of the game (though I've only played it on Hero difficulty, maybe it works better on lower settings?), and overall the review wasn't very descriptive of the game as a whole, but I think the score is just right in the context of the game being a first person shooter with realism and a unique theatre as it's main hooks.

It that reviewer even in touch with reality?
How much money did TWI pay? 85% is far too high for the current state of this game.
Oh look, I called "TWI review syndrome" and looks its true! The only honest review is a negetive one...

Oh and Armchair general is a good site, mostly postive (they still point out flaws, like the major bugs they noted in this very review) but are massive war gaming nerds who like the odd guilty pleasure...
