Red October is amazing!

Just had a couple of territory games with a full server on this map. It's simply the most fun I've had in a game in a long time.

I noticed most of the praise has went towards the Grain Elevator, but this is much better IMHO.

All 3 maps are amazing. Great size and some excellent firefights in the buildings and whilst trying to cross open land.

I can't join anything anymore. I was playing on Barracks (?) earlier but now I can't even join manually via IP. It just does nothing when I try to connect.

It does the same for me, but after trying to join manually I can enter the server through the "last played servers" tab.

I don't like barracks all that much (probably cos I dislike the SMGs), but grain elevator and Red October are indeed awesome.

The atmosphere in Red October just takes my breath away, it is now my favorite map. There is a lot of diversity in the roles and combined arms are always fun. As long as people do their jobs of taking objectives, blowing up the doors, deploying smoke, give cover fire and support the tank, anything is possible in that map :IS2:

My favourite is the grain elevator, but Red Oktober is indeed a great map. Barracks is not bad either, I just found it confusing on the first try.
Mappers did superb job!

I would like to try it, but while all the new maps occasionally crash on me, Red October crashes as soon as I connect to the server. Rock solid before this last patch. I am sure Tripwire will get it sorted though.

Praise went to Grain Elevator because that's the only reliable map that isn't crashing every 20 seconds.

Agreed, new maps are AMAZING. Love the detail and atmosphere. The snow falling randomly from the roof is a very immersive affect. Glow from the train fire is brilliant.

Not a huge fan of Grain Elevator, Ive been spawn killed too often on it and its become beyond frustrating.

Of course I got my revenge when the Germans advanced a bit further and I was able to shoot the Ruskies when they came out of their spawn.
