Recruiting on other clans servers

I think it's been a generally accepted thing in this community for awhile, and the reason I say that is because I've had handfuls of clan members over the years show interest in me - and almost never has that interest been shown on their own server.

I dont personally see anything wrong with a quick VOIP or TeamChat message to the effect of - "Hey, Borat, you've been kicking ass the last couple of maps.. if you are interested in a clan look us up". That sort of thing goes on all the time, and truthfully, in the end, it's the non-clan players choice who he/she wants to join.. if they want to be in a clan at all. When and where they are shown interest is sort of a moot point, isnt it?

Of course no one wants to see this on their server -

Of course we all know, if you pay for the server, people playing on your server need to follow your rules. No argument there.

I agree as well, I have actually had people spamming such as this on our servers concerning recruiting. However, if several outside clan members are using VOIP to "spam", recruit, and play up their own clan/server while on yours, that would be a problem me thinks for most clan admins also. I think most server admins would take a dim view on this, as for one, now you're interrupting the flow of the game by spamming, and not using VOIP as it was intended, to help your team win a round. Again, people should do it in their own house.
Some here are missing the point...and still are posting: "well, we see nothing wrong with recruiting on other servers". The point is...if the clan has a rule AGAINST it, or runs messages in their server prohibiting it, then DON'T DO IT......, and if you do, and get kicked or banned, then don't whine about it afterwards!

This community has allowed it since the mod.

I don't recruit on anyones server if i see a guy that is working together with our team using VOIP and i think he would fit with our realism unit then i would simply ask for his Xfire and talk there but i've probably only done that once and it was on another realism server.

And maybe its just because i play in other realism servers and stray away from "Clan" servers for that and other reasons.

RO community has always been a laid back gaming community and very friendly twoards other players, clans and realism units, the main thing is why not worry about the Team killers and smack tards that ruin the game instead of clans and realism units recruiting on each others servers.

Well, we also worry about the team killers/assclowns/and what we ourselves call smacktards as well, as we both agree they ruin the game for all, so we agree on this point. I go back to the point I made above: if the clan has a rule AGAINST it, or runs messages in their server prohibiting it, then DON'T DO IT......, and my last point on this subject: a clan's privately paid for server, whether public or not...is NOT open game for whatever players wish to do or say on it, just because "this community has always allowed it". On these points we'll have to agree to disagree.....

If the server says don't recruit then don't recruit we all agree there, if the server does not display its rules then its all fair intill warned and if the admin warns about recruiting then stop i agree there too.

Also i may add FLOT servers are very good to play in and very good admins so i respect all your points made but you should look at it from the peoples point of view that allows it also.

Yes indeed, and I do. If those admins who want to allow others to recruit on their servers, of course I say go for it. Tis their decision. Simply stating how we in our clan feel about it, but I do respect others decisions that would allow it. Finally, thanks for the compliments....have seen you in, and no problems I've seen. You guys are welcome anytime....
