[Game] Rebuild of 1997 hit "Netstorm" - Free!

Any of you old enough to have been playing games back in 1997 may remember one called "Netstorm: Islands at War", published by Activision, which got a 91 in PC Gamer's review.

A little while ago, we got involved with the guys, as they were using the "Rising Storm" name for a free, fan-built remake - here.

They've been round with Activision and all sorts of other fun and games, to clear the way to do a full rebuild, under the name "Disciples of the Storm". They are now running on Kickstarter to get the cash together to make this into a real thing - go take a look: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/525138512/disciples-of-the-storm. Well that video for their campaign wasn't helpful, anyone who doesn't know the original game (the vast majority) still doesn't know what this is going to play like.

Possibly. But this isn't it. These guys have been round the mill, eventually getting dumped on by Activision changing their minds. They deserve a look at least!

Want to say we did a little adjustment on the kickstarter page to better describe elements of gameplay, also we have gotten backing from few old timers in the industry and are now at 11,425$ as we are pushing for our minimum 50k goal for launching full development under the new IP..

We are also recording some audio segments that talk a little bit about the world and showing gameplay.

Tripwire has been supportive esp when it turned out our project name we had been using had also been selected by tripwire for their game..

From the feed back we have gotten from the first video we have on our kickstarter page project "Disciples of the Storm" we have now put together a new second video that tries to go into a little more background info about game-play while walking through some of the elements of game-play.
