If KF2 follows the pattern of KF, and a lot of games with a serious or grim dark theme....the game and the first couple DLC will be in tone, and from there on things will get progressively more whacky/out of the original theme. Everyone wins. I don't begrudge a game the right to be silly or break boundaries, as long as they give me a chance at the unadulterated experience first. Look at Blood Dragon. Base game = in-tone. DLC = Total change in tone.
The difference between Blood Dragon and vanilla FC3 is that Blood Dragon doesn't in any way integrate into FC3. You can enjoy these dishes separately.
With KF1, you have no option but to have them mixed on the same plate.
