Can we hope that the recoil for Assault Rifles to be realistic? As to where most players will end up only firing them in single shots and 2 or 3 shot bursts, as you would have to realistically? I felt the recoil was a little too lax even for the Mkb.42, so I am hoping they will make it realistic for RS2

We handle recoil a bit differently in RS2 compared to RO2/RS. Technically the "recoil" values are actually lower than the Mkb42, but because of our new systems it's actually a lot harder to fire full auto with any degree of accuracy. If you're up close, then full auto is still the way to go - recoil or not, you'll fill someone with holes, but if you're shooting at someone a little further away, full auto will just waste all your ammo. Single/Burst fire is absolutely the way to go now.

Good to hear! Curious to see how this system will play out!

Liking the sound of that.

I registered to thank you for this effort as RS lacked the realism of ballistics, etc. Incidentally, with the brilliance of sound design in RO2/RS, I'm very excited to hear the intensity (throughout audio types) in combat for which Vietnam was notorious!
