Does this mean we're going to be seeing 75mm rounds and 81mm mortars since they are at a brigade level. Instead of the 105mm Howitzer rounds, which are at a divisional level battery.

RO has had the ability to tailor artillery by type since a couple of mod releases past. It's up to the individual level designer to make use of it.

I'm glad someone else start this thread. I was just wondering about this myself and if there will be more artillery maps also. Hopefully RO keeps the 105mm in the game with the radio's. Of course 75mm and 80mm would be nice and new also.

It is the spread and rate of firing I think it the thing in most games suck.

For instance, BF2 artillery fall in a zone, and if your in it its a instant kill, no escape, cause the number of rounds and spread is too minor.

Artillery when falling in an area should have a bigger spread and round per minute should reflect the battery size, say a battery is battalion size it may only be 6 guns firing, with a 20sec firing cycle that is 18 rounds over a 100 by 30 metre spread, remembering round fall more in a short long configuration then a circle configuration.

Most people were injured by flying debrie, but if you lay down 80% of the time you should be safe, unfortunatley people don't model artillery well in games.

It's been a while since I've played, but if I remember right, it should already be kinda like that. It's something like 6-10 guns shooting 3 rounds a piece, and it is possible to survive an artillery strike falling on your position. I once managed to run straight through an artillery strike in BFE, but most of the time I'd just die if I tried it.
