I would like to see on the RO forum a Realism Repository section that lists all realism mods with a concise list or outline of each major realism change made in each mod (TC or mutator), maybe with some stats, but without the coding techno-babble. Certainly, forum discussions about these would follow, and I would expect some people not to agree with others, but having them listed for comparison would make choosing the "right" realism mod much easier.
Why am I asking for this?
Currently, I find this forum awkward to find information, particularly info about mods. I'd rather a main place for modders to list their features rather than hiding them throughout the forum.
I'm a tanker (and "tank expert") so I've never been much into FPS but I enjoy playing a good realistic tanksim. The RO team at TWI have created a FPS that is also a tanksim and IMHO is quite realistic. Of course, realism is subjective, and each of us "experts" will find faults with any game so the RO team have made it possible for us to mod the game to our liking. That's a 10/10 in my scorebook!
Because Red Orchestra:Ostfront41-45 is plugged as a realistic moddable game, it stands to reason that many players will want to see for themselves the features and concepts are used in the game mods and mutators.
I have not found these features available apart from decompiling the "u" files (a real hassle) or playing the game and guessing what has changed (another hassle).
