I'm planning on buying it, but I've read some mixed reviews and I'm not sure whether it's the simulator it claims to be.
You could better wait a month, cause Armed Assault will be released by then.takadi said:hmm I would have thought operation flashpoint to be an FPS type thing too, but it seems to attract alot of older more mature experienced audiences who are especially into the whole simulation thing. I also wondered if there were any other WWII simulators out there. The main raeson I bought RO was because all the simulators out there were modern based, not WWII. I just wondered if the next step is to make RO something like operation flashpoint. Plus operation flashpoint was made a while ago, so I'd think there's something good in the future of RO.

Well, Brothers in Arms is the more cinematic style of game.Oldih said:Also, Brothers in Arms is good game to get some feelings out. It is not actually simulator but the squad leading works and F.E. BiA has very good sounds, and if you get dirt in your face, you can dirt in your cameraview, and also if you get raindrops in your eye, you see the same effect etc.
Also, the gameplay is rather fun, especially on Authentic- difficulty, since only save is in the beginning of the mission, you really need to proceed carefully and master your squadleading techniques![]()
According to Bohemia Interactive Studios and ofp.info it was somewhere in April/May...Ron said:[/list]Are you sure i thought the release date was months away
Well, Brothers in Arms is the more cinematic style of game.
It has lens flare, raindrop-lens, dirt-lens, blood-lens effects, cinematic music and the scenes are pretty dramatic though.
