You can never make everyone happy. Luckily for the people that wanted RO1, installing Heroes doesn't remove Ost from your HD.
I agree Heroes of Stalingrad is not Red Orchestra 1 it is Red Orchestra 2 and has been refined and retooled and remapped. It will play similar to the first but not the same, I expected as much and I love the changes I think its far more superior to RO1.
No one is forcing you to play RO2 the game is made and done and will be shipping soon and little to no major changes will be made, it's fine the way it is. Insulting this game is insulting to TW and all the hard work they put into this game, if this isn't hardcore enough for you then I suggest you go back to playing RO1 and 24/7 Danzig servers, have fun.
I'll be playing RO2![]()
I agree with the OP. Everything is fine as it is, just needs some bug fixing.
The OP is often compared to styrofoam and rocks when considering his level of intelligence.
I hate to get sidetracked, but a bigger problem is the ridiculous downvoting on these forums.
Guys, come on. Everyone knows that military personnel are the most out of shape and in-agile stiffs in the world. .

This gets down-voted.
This gets down-voted. How?!?
And this, comparing the OP's brainpower to that of foam, is not.
It's a fair world.
the ops thread had a title containing the phrases "rage thread," and "please read." lol
I think that between the relaxed realism, Hardcore and custom gamemodes, there should be room for people that want different things. I just hope TWI gives us the option.
Yeah I would rather you could only "like" without "disliking", or nothing at all. If you have controversial opinions you will end up with negative rep here..if people agree with everything you say then you're "nice". It just discourages discussion and differing opinions imo
what is becoming extremely annoying is the "veterans" bashing all new players as COD fanboys and the same the other way around.
This has to stop!
There's only a solution:
we have 2 game modes : relaxed and hardcore......so why not implement all the stuff that RO1 players (like me) want and let the relaxed as it is?
it's so easy lol![]()
I completely agree. Some of the hardcore people were complaining about the "beta moaners" a week ago, but now the hot topic with a few of them is how unrealistic the game seems to them, which is ironically just as annoying.
Many of the people complaining about the realism have probably never handled an action weapon before, much less a K98 or Mosin. At some point realism has to be sacrificed for playability. And I still think RO2 is far on the side of realism.
Being a CoD player seems like the ultimate attack on here, but I would venture to say 95% of us have probably enjoyed a few hours of CoD in the not-so-distant past.
Wow dude....LOL
I have never played any other game online besides RO!!!!! The ultra realism is what seperates this community from the COD Fruitcakes!!!!!

Trying to argue Gameplay over Realism?
You'll be slaughtered by the RO fans. As much as it may make sense, a lot of people favour realism.
Which is why I say all of the above should be added, but when you get suppressed fully, your soldier should soil themselves and you have to waddle to the nearest hole to empty your freshly soiled trousers. Not to mention if you die, thats it, you cannot play the game again. If you get wounded, you are evacuated to a field hospital where you will spend the next few months (real time). You will also have to eat and drink, yet watch out, you could eat some bad food and die! There is also a realistic mourning system, so if a fellow soldier gets blown to pieces, your character will curl up and cry about it for a short time and you will be haunted by their face perminantly.
On to the side specific details. On maps that are further into Russia, German soldiers have the chance to freeze to death, this is increased when pulling down ones trousers to go to the toilet. The Russians will not suffer from this as much. German tanks will also have less fuel supplies. Russians will have a large reinforcement counter, yet only half the team have guns, the over half have the ammo. They will also be encouraged to run at German machine guns.
So now I ask you, is super realism a fantastic idea?

Don't be a douche. I don't think anyone in these debates are taking things that seriously. You would have gotten comedy points if this rant of yours hadn't been done hundreds of times before.
