Can we shot the dead bodies and see the ragdolls moving while being shot ?
I mean, the bullet is really hitting the corpse, and not passing for it and hitting the ground.
Does that really matter?
Does that really matter?
I hope not, as this would mean CoD style where soldiers who received a headshot still got power to crawl some centimeters![]()
It does make it look "more" natural than if you'd have it only ragdoll -> bf2 for instance.
BF2 is not a good example of only ragdoll. By far the most atrocious rag dolls I've ever seen. Besides GTA4 with the Euphoria engine, America's Army had the best ragdoll. I believe Ramm worked on that. Still, a blend done right that didn't end up repetitive would be best.
Of course not thats why i mentioned it, the ragdolls in GTA4 are far more advanced with Euphoria but if we're taking pure old school ragdolls then BF2 is an example of how it can look rather bad when using pure ragdolls as opposed to a blend of both animation and ragdolls.
To be honest... the best ragdoll i have ever seen is red orchestra...
the way they fall, although not simulated, looks like they are still alive or something, they always fall to their knees.
The second best anims would be F.E.A.R which even simulated muscle springyness, the weapon effects were fairly overpowered (it was an arcade shooter) but the ragdoll was actually the best i have ever seen.
So long as the ragdoll maintains momentum unlike RO ost, i will be happy.![]()
