Hey guys,

I'm here to inquire about the competitive-play scene in the RO2/RS franchise. Let me begin with where I come from. I play for a team named iNvaders in a game named America's Army Proving Grounds. Hopefully some of you have heard of it. We are arguably the top team to beat at the moment, we currently have the most amount of tournament championship wins and have members that have been playing since the very first version of the game. I mention this not to "toot my own horn", but to further emphasize that I really mean competitive play.

Gameplay wise, it's a modern, non-respawn, small squad, easy to die, fps shooter with some realism aspects to it. Hate it or love it, that's not what i'm here to discuss.

We've been looking to try a new game and wanted to know what leagues/cups/websites are available for those seeking to play the game competitively? Who are the top teams? What modes do you play? Around how many teams are there in NA?

We've looked at other games like Insurgency (didn't really do it for us), and Squad (UE 4 game still in Alpha stages), and now i'm keeping my eye on this title. I'm excited to try out the game hopefully soon, and became an active member of your seemingly wonderful community. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated guys.

RO2/RS main experience is playing on public servers. Competitive play is existent but it's really small even compared to Insurgency. The new gamemode and Rising Storm 2 may change that but it's just speculation.

What's wrong with Insurgency? I've played it in a couple of tournaments too.

If it wasn't clear in my initial post, I was referring to leagues for previous iterations of the game.

Thanks for the link, i'll be sure to check it out. In regards to Insurgency, I personally enjoyed it, however my team members were not really fond of it.
