The benefits are that you dont have to do it by hand?
It does it all for you. First time you run it it will ask for the cache folder. after that it will never ask
for it again, if you extractit to a folder, and gets a chance to save config.dat . You just click on it
and click on da "button" instead of painfully manually moving and renaming those files, or having to re-download the maps every once in a while.

hehe sorry to treat you like idiot- i just never had the need for the 'cashe-converter' 'cos i've always found dloading the map's I know i'm gonna play to be the simplest option.
