So do you have any info or even pictures that you could lead me towards in seeing what looking through a ZF4 might look like?

I could be wrong but I believe its a ZF4 scope as well, or a variant of it.

Link to the video in question?

Those scopes look way too thick compared to the screenshot I linked, in the screen it has a small opening where you look into it and a wide exit but a thin tiny tubelike mid-section.. Those are all pretty much thick from front to back.. You sure its a zf4?

I am no expert, but it looks way more like a ZF41 when compared to googled up images. The ZF41 also has a rather large diameter in front and gets significantly thinner in the back.

What one may assume that is in the game are ZF41 for MKB42 and G41. The sniper version of the k-98 may have different scopes too, but I would not know which.

In the end, the problem is not the availability of sights, but whether they could be mounted. MP40 and PPsh do not seem to have any way of mounting any different sight than they have as a standard. There simply was no picatinny rail system back then like it is the craze now. And consider: With the MP40 and PPsh you would not shoot precisely at longer ranges than 50-100 meters max. The standard iron-sights would be completely satisfactory for this cheaply and mass produced weapons.

As said, there is line of individual upgrades for every weapon, but no true customization as in other games.

whoa weird, it looks like they were looking their their ironsights and not the scope during that couple frames you can see it though.. Looks like it'll be similar to maybe having an acog scope.. Looked as if it was attached to one of the semi auto rifles. "EXCITED!" Can't wait to get something like that.

"Aperture sight" attachment in CoD 5:

Real aperture sight:

In fact, many guns in CoD have true aperture sights.

Certain weapons will have certain unlockable "attachments" of a sort. I'm not at liberty to say what they are, but there are some hints in various screenshots and videos that have been released in the last month or so.

Also, some of the above posters may be surprised at what existed in WW2. Things might not have been commonplace, but a lot of experimental weapon enhancements did in fact exist.

The release just got ten times scarier.

Holy mackarel, what did you people do to my RO game?

Just about the whole historically accurate stuff.
WWII in particular saw Many developments and "beta" testing of lot's of equipment.
Here are two of the best cases:

and

the second if you haven't guessed it yet is a night vision scope.

But I agree, red dot's sight has no place in this game :)

Yeah I agree about the red dots not being in this game.. I was just mostly curious aboutt he aperture and if it was actually real, glad to know it isn't. I don't see why they would make a WW2 game and make up fake attachments.. That just seems incredibly stupid. But whatever it's call of duty anyway that game is full of stupid as it is.

guys seriously, I'm not some call of duty kid. I was just asking if the attachments in cod waw were actually around in the ww2 era and if they would be present in this game, now that I know they in fact DIDN'T exist has answered my question. No need for the facepalming etc.. Jesus, not all of us are super history buffs.

IMHO, once you've played RO2 for awhile, you'll see those "customisation" things as the cheap marketing trick they really are. Even in those games they rarely make the game better, if not actually making it worse.

They are gimmicks meant to distract you from the otherwise crappy nature of those half-assed FPS'. In a game like RO2, you will be too busy just trying to stay alive and get a kill or two, to notice that you don't have a red dot sight or a "cool" cammo scheme on your weapon.

In CoD-like games, they have to give you loads of unlocks etc, otherwise you'd get bored of the game within a week or two.

COD, MOH, BF2, HALO, UT, QUAKE... it is all the same game, just different skins 0% innovation to the FPS genre.
