Maybe someone knows about this.

We have a guy here who want to play the game, but it's not available in the shops. Besides downloading from steam (which is a big download), would it be possible to install the game from, say my disk, then when he registers the game with steam, pays for the user license via Card.

Just trying to avoid a 'year long' download time, as our networks here are not that cooperative..

Thanks for any help

disks and accounts are independent so yes, he can install it with your disk.

but the download is not that long anyway, it shouldnt take more than a day

If he just installs it from your discs he would still have to update it and that takes almost as long as just downloading it for some reason.

The best thing to do was to save your offline data of RO from your hdd to a dvd, then have your friend buy RO via steam and copy over the data from the burnt disc to his hdd.

You can actually burn your RO files to dvd or what not and just transfer them to the right directory.
