we must make some other work before coding. for example, i must fix lowpoly model, then make high poly, then make UVW unwrap, then someone must make texture, then i must fix animations, then export all this to SdK. But i have work on VMT ( which is more important i think ) and i cant finish weapon(s) right now
For historical accuracy, the PzB 784 (r) was a good choice in my opinion.
A lot were made, so it's believable that a lot got in german hands.
60 000 is " a lot were made " ?
Talking about the production number during the Stalingrad battle is different from the overall production.
As we're not limited to the Stalingrad era I see no problem for the PTRS beeing in game, even produced in lower numbers at this time.
With my basic knowledge there were approx. 1.7 Million russian soldiers in Stalingrad that makes 1.700.000/60.0000 = ~28, that means every 30 could have had a PTRS but for this all PTRS must have been in Stalingrad which makes no sense.
So I agree that the number wasn't amazing high but still high enough for beeing in game and enough for beeing captured by germans.
From a developer perspective it was a good decision, however nobody is preventing us from adding more weapons like the PTRD or PzB39.

According to this logic, give to german assault class PPD-40 as basic weapon is a good choice too. Why not, if they captured a lot of them?
And how can you explain that german PTRS has better BS-41 ammo, and russian PTRS has worse B-32 ammo?
oh god, tell me that you are kidding..Soviets always had worse Anti tank than Germans.
Wait... aaz your 15... speak pretty good English... and your modeling skills are pretty far along. Keep at it. You could have a bright future there.![]()

Well have you played Ostfront? better yet, you like Russia with all your heart? then dont play Ostfront as AT class. The differences will drive you nuts.
German AT class:
Panzerfaust: Basically a toddler can aim and destroy tanks. Reload is extremely fast.
MP40 Submachine gun
normal grenades
Soviet AT class:
PTRD: You have to fire on certain spots like RO2 but it is WAY HARDER than RO2. Also, its single shot, so it may take around 4-5 seconds to reload. If you get stuck reloading and german "TELEPORTS" out of tank, he will shoot you down with his SMG. Only few have mastered this weapon. This gun will do little to none as range increases to heavy armored cats like Panther g and Tiger and this weapon does NO damage AT ALL to the Tiger II. With panzer 4s and thinner tanks, range is infinite as far as im concerned.
TT-33 Pistol
Normal grenades
I am sorry, i know you must love Russia but the Soviets DID have the worse AT class-and the gap is HUGE.
PTRD=man's weapon
Faust=cheap tank kills
Im sorry if I call the faust cheap because IT IS. If it were a marginal better than the PTRD, i wouldnt call i cheap BUT NO. ITS DAY AND NIGHT SO ITS APPROPRIATE TO CALL IT CHEAP!
First, i played ro1 10 times more than ro2.Well have you played Ostfront? better yet, you like Russia with all your heart? then dont play Ostfront as AT class. The differences will drive you nuts.

Second, i agree that generally germans had better weapons in second part of war ( when they had fausts and others). But in 1941 and 1942 we had MUCH better situation with infantry AT weapons by ALL PARAMETERS.
What did we have? 190 000 PTRD in 1941-42 years, 60 000 PTRS in 1942 year. Those guns are the best in their class, with BS-41 round they can penetrate 45 mm of armor on 100 meters with 90 angle. We had RPG-40 and RPG-41 AT grenades, AT bottles were very popular, grenade packs too. What did germans have? The main AT rifle was PZB39, with penetration 25 mm on 100 meters with 90 angle was effective only against low armored vehicles ( they produced 40 000 of them ).They also had old Mauser T-gewher which was even much less effective and popular. And they had some ultra-rare weapons like PZb41 which was not very effective too. GrB39 was made only in the end of 1942. And germans DIDNT have ANY specialized AT grenades ( like our rpg40 ) - only gebalt ladungs and fire bottles. HHl3 was made only in the end of 1942. So WHERE DO WE HAVE THE WORST AT CLASS?
