Hey. Just a few questions.
1) Is the internal damage system (ammo, engine, etc.) on the tanks fixed?
2) As a PT Soldat, which parts of a tank should I aim for? Can I knock out the treads; shoot the ammo storage, etc?
3) Are there specific weak points that I can aim for?

For point 2 and 3 look under Downloads/Art.
There you got the Tank Datasheets.
Yes, you can disable the treads and the engine.

I'm still not exactly sure how to disable the treads on a vehicle. I normally just aim for the ammo stores.

The best way to use the Anti tank guns now is make sure you position yourself so that the tank is as close to 90 degrees to you as possible (in the side) so that you shoot where the armour is thinnest.

Generally with German tanks you should look at where the gun barrel connects to the turret first, then move slightly to the left, then move your gun down to the top of the tracks and shoot there just below the armour.

Same with Russian tanks but you aim below the centre of the hatch, but in the same height. Dunno if I've explained that very well, just have a look at the tank data sheets.

I've killed a tiger with 1 shot (it was undamaged prior to my shot) and several panthers like this.

I'm fairly sure you did not kill an undamaged tiger in one shot with a ptrd. If you did it was a glitch. The Tiger is pretty much invulnerable to 14.5 mm fire.

It wasn't smoking before I shot so I presume it was undamaged. Do they only smoke if the engine is damaged? Would be cool if there were some other visual indicators of how damaged a tank is.

Fire?

I don't know what happened. Perhaps someone hit it with a tank round just before you hit it. All I know is that the Tigers armour is so think that 14.5 mm rounds just bounced off. They shouldn't be able to penetrate a Tiger's armour. Anything else and you have a chance of dropping it, but, as I understand it, you shouldn't be able to even damage a Tiger with a ptrd.

Strange. Might have been a bug I suppose but there was deffinately no smoke or flames coming from it and I took 1 shot with the PTRD from a window about 20 yards from it and killed the driver and gunner

A tank can recieve "yellow" damage before smoking so it could have been damaged, u could have also hit throuhg a hatch on the tank it is possible to kill a tiger, but impossible if it has not been damaged by heavier calibre gun fire.
