psa/psk expoter for blender????

does anyone know of a good one or anything i should know about exporting psa/psk animations/meshs from blender. i have found one:MOD_Opti_PSK_Dump but it's no good. the animation looks fine in blender but after import into the sdk the bones get all messed up and scrambled, it'll offset the entire mesh for animation, over all just looks gay in the sdk.

-Yes i have turned the mesh into triangles.(edit OOPs i guess i forgot to do this.. but problem persists..)
-yes the ik nodes are set up right(according to the tut anyways)
-i'm pretty sure i set up the rig right...
-no i did not scale the armature in blender.
-i'm making this for education to better my level making skills( i want to make add-on critters for level use: birds, fish, rats, etc.)


.. however i didn't name any bones.... but that shouldn't effect it right?
but here is my blender scene so you can get a better idea if i did something wrong. Note: yes it is a minecraft sheep, and the first animation i was making was omm nom nom :p

ok i seemed to have fixed it.. i found an older version of the exporter and so far it's working alright.. the bones are a little outa place but the animation still looks fine..
i used optimus p-fat's origional one.. here near bottem

i'll post back if something else happens.. also when i'm finished with the animations/scripting and all the mumbo jumbo i'll post screens and a showcase level for it.. this specific critter should be about shin-high if i got my scale right...

edit: btw anyone know how to delete keys in the timeline window??? one would think it'll be as simple as selecting the key and pressing delete or x but i can't even select the key :(

oh it's cool man =D yea blender is free so it's what i use lol

i'm not spending 1000,2000+ for software... unless i suddenly got rich, in which case hell i'll buy everyone who wants to model the darn software...(well not everyone just those who actually want to model) lol

If I remember correctly, you can do that in the IPO curve editor.

Edit: Oh dear, you should probably re-watch some tutorials on how to make rigs.
First off, IK bones should always have a chain length greater than 0 or else, stuff moves in ways you probably don't want it to move.
Like right now, if the head moves, the whole body follows.

oh cool thanks man =D that allows me to finish the animation set then all that will be left is scripting.

hmmm, i suppose that makes sense. so would you recommend that i set it to 1 or 2? well i guess i'll just play around with it.

Although i'm new to animation in blender, i found it easier/better to connect or parent/child the armatures to each other in other animation programs.

ah well whatever works brah =D i personally use softimage for uv mapping lol blender kinda sucks at it IMHO

Welcome to animation hell.
Also out of the over 9000 people I've seen using blender to animate something for this game (okay, it were actually only 2), you're the first one to actually answer if there are any restrictions (LIKE, OH, NO IK SUPPORT FFS) and I didn't even ask.
I'm glad I didn't waste time constructing a superspecialawesome rig just to find out that I can't use it.

lol yea i didn't want to make a super dupper one for practice so i just made a very simple mesh and rig to see if it'll work at all. i havn't gotten around to testing it out with the ik removed and bone rotation changes. but when i do i'll post back.

Well I just found this thread, and all I have to say is, add me/talk to me on steam and I'll give you a decent psk/psa exporter for blender and the basics of how to use it :)

(It's compatability with unrealed is kind of questionable, but I have gotten it to work.)

Sorry for bumping an old thread but..

Is there any PSK/PSA support fro blender 2.59+? the interface and many other things have drastically improved since 2.49b.
