I'd rather have Prone Blocked than having limbs sticking through walls. It's a game after all dude.

This, I'd rather have to crouch to turn in small areas than be able to prone and turn in small areas, but get my legs shot off because they're sticking out of the other side of the wall/cover.

Even our beloved COD does this.. hopefully the most realistic game of 2011 will have this.

But it isn't that big of a deal for me, as long as my legs don't stick through a wall and I get shot in the legs from the other side of the wall because of it I'll be happy.

I'll be happy as long as people cant see my legs thru walls and immediately know where I am

I prefer to be able to prone whenever I want to even if it means there will be clipping. Never been very annoyed by the clipping, but the "You can't prone" message have driven me insane. I don't want my avatar to act as a tetris block.

Having prone collision would be excellent. I actually liked it when they added it to CoD, it stopped a lot of people from parking themselves in a corner so they would be hard(er) to hit.

I like the idea behind prone collision, but not if your avatar is acting like a 2x4. So, instead of swinging 'round on your belly and stopping dead when your legs hit a wall (or blocking surface for that matter), maybe you could incorporate some extra movements after the initial collision. A good example would be bending at the waist.

That would be nice but it would be alot of work I guess, besides the collision code they also have to animate it then. I'm not sure how GTA 4 does it (never played it but from what I've seen) how the character can be an animate ragdoll when he's drunk. Some news about how it is in HOS from a dev would be appreciated.

since i dont know how to do this kinda stuff so it sounds overly simple to me,
~why not just have like a invisible box around each leg,and when that box touchs wall or a object, that will tell the model to curl that leg up by his butt?~
i mean it sounds logical, it sounds easy to do, their doesnt even have to be a animation for it ,just have it appear up lol
