Hello. I haven't played stock RO for a while now, but returned because of the CC mod. However I encountered a new problem that I didn't have when I left. When I refresh my server list it brings back an incredibly long list of servers. However around 85% of them have only 1 to 2 people in the server. If you highlight the server for more information you see that no one is actually in the server. And some servers say that they have 59 people out of a maximum capacity of 50. However if I highlight the server it refreshes and shows the proper amount? What is going on? I have a filter turned on and all of the options checked except for VAC Protection Only. I have Does Not Matter for the Stats Only Server. What could possibly be wrong?

I have exactly the same problem. Although I've added the servers to the favorites, the problem doesn't disappear.
edit: another thing is that my ping isn't displayed correct. The server browser (favorites) says I have about 250, so i connected and had a ping about 40...

Yes the Steam server browser seems to work right, but I don't like it. I always joined a server with the ingame brwoser. Hmm I've tried many things to find the problem, but nothing did work...
yes, this needs to be fixed soon. It is very annoying trying to find a server with people in it without having to click on each 1 to get the real count.
If the developers are trying to figure out a way to kill an on-line game, than they are currently on the right path.

This problem needs addressing immediately my clans ro league is beggining soon and i still have this problem plus i would like to play every now and then ! Please someone do something!
I noticed that even the steam server browser shows me the incorrect playercount and ping. A few minutes ago I wanted to join a server where 15 players are on, but when I connected I was alone.
These problems prohibit that I am able to play RO correctly...It got so far that I even have no ambition to start RO. Mare Nostrum is ok because there are not so much servers to look for, but that whole thing is so annoying I cannot tell you...
has anyone from tripwire even looked at this thread? I am quite honestly very angry that still this error has not been addressed and that i have recieved no information from a tripwire representative of this problem. A great big thumbs down guys.

It's been brought up numerous times before, lads, it's been like this since the last update that brought us this marvelous steam-integration.

Although a boring job you could add every server to your favorites list (although then you don't have a favs list anymore). The favorites list doesn't get updated through the master server but you manually ping every server. Meaning that you wont get the issue of the weird player amounts.
As I posted above the "favorite server solution" doesn't work for me. It shows neither the correct playercount nor the correct ping...

Yes, adding servers to your favourites seems like the way to go at the moment.
The broken server browser is a nice feature that came with the lastest "downdate" and so far there is no word if RO will ever get a working browser again or if we are supposed to used the broken one until the end of the game.....
