This map takes place during Operation Bagration on the outskirts of Minsk. Mechanized Russian infantry are assualting a well entrenched German position on the road to Minsk. The map will consist of trench warfare and urban combat. Both sides will have APC's and there will be no tanks to worry about, except for a few Panzerfaust wielding Germans. The Russians have 4 UC's to start with. It's better to ride in a UC then walk, you have a long trek ahead if you chose to walk. The Germans will have 2 half tracks at their second and third spawn areas. There will be 3 objectives, mortar positions, command post and head quarters set inside a town behind the trenches.

The highway and trenches are nearly finished. Just some more detail needs to be added. The town is 10 percent finished. I still have more houses, defenses and interior detail to do.

Excellent, another infantry map :)
If distances are large you might want to make sure that enough transport is available for each spawnwave. It's tricky because it's choosing between a map filled with too many transport vehicles or filled with walking players who have to walk too far to reach the front.

The pictures look promising.

Nice pics - I'm looking forward to this!

Maybe in the field some smoking craters and some trees broken like after artillery bombardment?

Seriously though, I was logged into my friends account when I made the post. I'll be working on Minsk 1944 until AHZ releases the 45mm gun.

This map looks damn good. Keep up the amazing work.
Suggestion: Perhaps with all the custom skins running around mabye you could add Russian dot camo and German Fallschirmjaegers etc...(as long as it's realistic ;) )

The gun IS released. You can use it as it is. We are working on a final package to release very soon. In the meantime, you can set it up now if you wish and start testing it in your map. If you have 'TractorWorks', you have the gun. To add it to the map, you will have to load it to the /actor class.

- Open the actor browser
- "Open package" AHZ_ROGuns
- Navigate down to *SVehicleFactory
- Select the *M1937Factory
- Place in your map

There weren't a lot of FJ on the eastern front and the Russian ameube camo was only used by snipers and scouts.

So what happened? The guy stole SH's map and got banned for it? For real? :confused:

I noticed the similarity as well but, then again, lotsa custom maps use the same meshes and they nearly all use that sky texture so I just assumed it was more of the same.

Oh noes both have roads in wheat fields with power lines. Like many roads in Belarus. :rolleyes:

- Different lighting
- Paved road vs dirt road
- More/less fog

The layout is similar, but lets remember that this a road in Russia. Every mile is not going to look different.
