I heard this too from a friend of mine who heard it from "someone who works there". Details werent given, but it was talked about and something like this will be added during the christmas event.

Did this idea die out or get abandoned? I was looking forward to this and was really hoping to see it during this XMas event. D:

I think that hes friend just wanted to seem like all knowing and made something up...

Its a shame that TWI didnt add this, because it would keep me motivated for years. Now im 4 achiviements short and i know im going to get those done today...i feel kind of sad. Sure im really happy that im finally 100% done, but what to do next? :(

Why not just put it to 99 if it's meant to be a prestige like system? Keep adding the requirements by 1.5.

... However, could this not be included with the Stalker and Welding requirements? Just don't make me think about those.

I think those should be included as well. Both of those are pretty important niches for their respective perks.

No class needs to be specialized for taking out Stalkers since they're so weak, and doors are a boring mechanic if they're relied on since one player is literally standing there and just welding. If crawlers were put in Commando reqs and Support got a way to repair from range, it wouldn't be so aggravating to level.

Then perhaps a lower multiplier requirement would suffice. Maybe instead of 1.5, 1.2 or something. But then again, I'm somewhat doubting this idea to be implemented to begin with. so... :<

YES! Do that ... I was wondering what happens when you get to lvl 6 and I got it on Sharpshooter and what happened was that I stopped playing with this perk cos I got bored ... do it ... do it ... do it ... some fancy icon will be great :IS2:

I think it's a good idea too. "Honorary" level-ups or something with no in-game bonuses.

Wouldn't apply to me as I've only just got Mr Perky, and the only one close to a possible lv7 is sharpy, but it would be interesting looking at other random players I encounter whether they're a level 6 veteran with loads of experience or someone that's only just graduated lol

I don't know if you guys played alien swarms by Valve. really fun co-op game as well.
When you reach the highest level (30 if i remember correctly), you have the option to reset it to lvl 1 (so lose all benefits) but you get a bronze star and can start lvling up to 30 again.
At this point you can (if you want) reset it again until you get a gold star.

So with this system, a golden perk guy means he levelled 3 times his character to level 6.

just my 2 cents :)

Yeha I reset my skills twice in that game... and both times I thought "WTF did I do that for?".

Nothing like having to grind through the easy modes again so you can have a crack at the really hard difficulties.

I say Yes! to the ability to be able to pick what level you want to play as if you reach Lv 7!

Servers would have to be configured to autokick unwanted levels though :p

Great ideas!

Would love to unlock a class specific character for reaching lvl 10. I love to play sharp and none of the characters make me feel like a bada** sharp.

Not sure why everyone is worried about it being too much....I mean the entire point of gaining lvl 7 through 10 is to give us something to work towards and to broadcast to the community how good we are at a certain perk. I say go big, lvl 6 can't be too insane because you need it to gain that extra bit of power, but these are different.
I have 2200 hours in this game and have 3xlvl 6 for every perk....72,000 hs for sharp. I would want lvl 10 to be difficulty to earn not something a few months of HoE would get me. Or else we would all get to level 10 prestige and this conversation would start all over again.

gaining lvl 10 isn't for your average player and shouldn't be it should be for those of us that having been playing this game for years and don't plan on stopping :D As things stand we see a lvl 6 perk and have no idea of their skill level, but if we see someone join a server and have a lvl 10 support, im throwing them dosh because I know he/she is a bada**
