Preload Question

Can we use exsisting beta files, put them in the main game directory then verify the cache to reduce download time?

Give it a shot. Make a copy of the beta folder, start the retail download, pause and replace with the copied Beta folder - See what happens.

I'd like to know too. In Australia we have metered downloads so redownloading 8gb isn't really practical.

I've done this... downloading the pre-load now...

Its not looking particularly good. I was expecting the download to skip through the existing files and maybe bump me to say 40% done.. but it appears to be trudging though and downloading the lot, basically not speeding up the download.

I suspect i'm gonna simply end up with a bloated install folder with lots of beta files.. i hope that a 'verify files' once complete will delete the beta files but i fear it may not.

Final verdict is still out. 27% done.

I fail to see how every file can be different.

Yeah i know.. luckily windows has this wonderful feature that allows you to copy files from one folder to another

I am sure it is a newer build than the beta build we were playing. I'd just re-download the whole game.
