I dont know about you but I dled about 800mb or at least I think because at 5% I had downloaded 40mb's and if you multiply 800 by .05 you get 40mb. Anyways it took forever for me to dl I started at 6:30 pm and it ended at around 4:00 am.

they're both vBulletin, but I guess they DoD mods feel we don't need some of the features that are enabled here.

Here's a dumb question, if i pre-order and dl the game, when do i get to play? Is it like i dl it and wait for a pass word to unlock it on a futur date?

On release day Valve unlocks the game for everyone who has bought it. It's all server side.

It might use VAC since the game will be on STEAM but I don't know if that has been confirmed yet.

Hell, we'd like to know too, but you know accountants - they'll probably count them at the end of the month, send the details to the IRS, let them lose them twice, refer them to the Supreme Court, then allow the auditors to check them over. Twice. Then again in Chinese. After all that, they'll deduct for the extraneous rabbits and make due allowance for the ferrets. Of course, that means they'll have to re-re-submit to the IRS, in Serbo-Croat this time...

In short - we'll get sensible figures something like the end of the month after the cash actually flows from you guys through to Valve's bank account. Or something like that :)

And, yes, accountants annoy the hell out of me!
