[Image] Post Your Photography!

Sorry to interrupt, but I just gotta ask, am I the only one who has to read the title of this thread at least two times, every time I notice it again, before I realize it says "Photography" not "Pornography"?

we've had a few threads in the past that have basically become that, but as of yet the mods haven't exactly been kind to anything so un-subtle...;)

Gotta love walk-offs!

and then for kicks, I walked around the inner harbor and got some images of the preparations for the IndyCar and ALMS races this fall...

The pit lane will be here. That fence will probably mark the pit wall and the circuit nearest the camera. Hard right turn begins at that orange barrel on the left.

Interesting how they'll pull this off. The circuit will come down the road at the top left, cross over through the center, and around a hairpin on the right, where the white truck and orange barrels are. It then sweeps across the tracks followed by a hard left and down the pit straight.

This is just the view, at rush hour, of the main straight on Pratt St., looking at the start-finish line. (conveniently located next to the best brewpub in Maryland).

Wish I had a higher-end camera with 10FPS lol

Since you're shooting film too, look into getting an EOS-3, or an EOS-1v. EOS-3 has got 7fps with the booster and 45 point AF with eye control, and can be had used on KEH.com for under $300 (body only).

The 1v can be had for a little over $700 EX condition on KEH.com getting you 9fps. I can't imagine the film costs, though.

I recently traded my old Canon 5D for a 1D mark IIN on Craigslist. You can pick one up used for a little over $1000 to get 8fps with 8MP.

My only problem now is WAY too many pictures when comparing for best focus.

Wish I had it for this shoot. I would have had a LOT more keepers:

Ah yes, good idea haha. Don't know why I hadn't thought of that before. 35mm is cheap enough. I'll definitely have to look into it.

I usually use film cameras for taking photos of tricks, and I only get one shot before I have to manually wind, as well as manually focus. I am generally pretty good at predicting where people will end up, and when the peak of the trick is, but it would be really good to have something where I could get some nice progressive action shots.

That bull riding photo is too awesome :D

Aso those are phenomenal and make me miss my film bodies badly.

Thanks. Get some more film gear! My medium format cameras cost me no more than $100 each, and I don't think I can ever justify getting rid of them.

I just really wish I had a scanner that could really do the photos justice. Medium format slide film is simply delicious.

I love the look on the cowboy's face.

True, but those medium format lenses cost a pretty penny.

Ah I like it, can never go wrong with sport photos. There's always something fun to be seen in one frame of such action, that's why I enjoy sports photography. And then the faces made is a whole other thing to enjoy :D

And I am yet to buy any lenses for my medium format cameras, I just use the ones that came with them. I am far too poor to afford more lenses hah.

I've got:
- 105mm f3.5
- 80mm f2.8
for my Mamiya C220 TLRs

and

-90mm f2.8
for my Mamiya 645 1000s.
