There's my Tardis.. I'd wondered where she'd gone :p.

I like this shot because of the gradients of green and the feeling of distance with the visual depth being in thirds .

Thanks, I'm glad I saw this since it was somewhat far from the road. My eyes were glued out the car during my trip in New York, but I figured this really needed to be photographed hah.

I have to admit I just loved wandering around Amsterdam feeling very relaxed, with the beautiful evening light streaming down the long narrow streets - it had a wonderful golden quality and intensity without being harsh.

I was in heaven with a wide-angle lens and a good manual film camera to play with. Getting strange looks as I stared straight into the setting sun, jumped out from behind corners to surprise cyclists, or simply ended up crouched in weird places trying to get interesting low angles.

A few people come up to me to ask what I was photographing. So I got them to stand or crouch where I was and put the camera to their eye and enjoyed seeing their sudden understanding as I used the aperture preview button. I also loved the look of shock and surprise on their face when they asked if I could show them the shot I'd just taken and I turned over the camera showing them it has no screen and said, "no". Amazing how quickly people have forgotten that image preview hasn't always been available and that film still exists.

These pics are the rest of the few I took over a few minutes on one street. You can see in the image in my previous post a passer-by with a camera phone on the right of the frame who obviously noticed I had found something that interested me so decided to try to capture it with his phone.
