Which one? I've always thought about getting one.

Composer Pro w/ Edge 80. It's basically a tilt-shift lens for 1/4th the cost of a "real" one.

It's not totally in focus, but considering I used two cd-r to cover my camera lens I thinks these are pretty good.

If you look at around the 1 o'clock position on the sun you will see a blob called Venus. It is currently partially (very partially) eclipsing the Sun. This is supposed to last six or so hours, but it's below the tree line here so I can't attempt any more pictures. This won't happen again until 2117.

Hope your camera didn't die

I think it got really lucky, perfect people to view it with, perfect weather and perfect fun. We had to get up at 4 am but we barely slept anyway, we got to witness the Venus "leaving" the sun at around 6.54 am local time.

We had to go to the city border of Berlin, luckily one of my friends lives pretty close to our viewing spot

We used a fairly simple telescope covered with a special foil to view the sun

Projecting the image to a white sheet of paper worked best with my camera. With smaller cameras it is easier to photograph through the telescope

Yeah, spectacular shots man. What really gets me is it's 97 degrees there while you're getting all of those nasty storms. You know that doesnt happen here on the PCoast. I've never experienced muggy of that magnitude
