More up-to-date group photo. Yay

I might have forgotten something, but that pretty much covers it up.

Now, after I get a proper field canteen all I need is a working Mauser. Tanaka Mauser perhaps? ;)

Nice kitties! Norsk Skogkatt derivatives?

If you mean my cats, then no, but not a bad guess, they are Maine Coon's ;)

Definately the Tanaka! and remember, with a bit of work, they can be very good looking replica's, here's mine:

Just a bit of wood-work goes a long way.

I know that Tanaka is ftw, but I had in my mind also that in case if this "chinese-wonder Mauser" (a copy of Marushin Mauser) comes out, I might buy it, remove and replace its mechanism with some APS\VSR\parts like that and tune bolt and such to look bit more correct.

but yeah, in general Tanaka would be the best choice :D

Wow, that Tanaka Mauser looks awesome. It's a shame I couldn't really use a bolt action with my current airsoft impression, but I'd definitely get a Mauser if that was the case.

I just finished applying fictional Wehrmacht style basic EM insignia to the ACU tunic. I won't be adding a breast eagle to either the tunic or M43 cap (if I do end up adding one, it will be some sort of stylized eagle sans swastika).

Also, I was thinking of having some sort of cuff title made along the lines of "Freiwilligen Amerikaner"

Well if you do end up getting the China Maus, i'd love to hear all about it, quality, if it will last, how its shoots and so forth, because if it is actually made well, it's certainly an interesting weapon.

And if you get the Tanaka, remember to get an elongated nozzle, or make one yourself if you must, the standard nozzle is rubbish, doesen't push the BB into the hop unit like it should, making for terrible groupings, but it shoots like a wet dream with a propper nozzle.
You might allready know all that, but just passing on the word in case you or others dont.

They dont look like mine out of the box though, they are blonde wood with a lackluster varnish job when you buy them, hence the need to do some wood work, with just a bit of sanding down, recolouring and a new coat of varnish, they really do look stunning :)

Yeah, by default the stock is blond, but the work you did on yours is fantastic. It looks just like my Russian captured K98.

Sounds fishy, but who knows.

With that price you could buy pair of those, one to mod some APS\VSR\something like that machinery in and one for spare parts.

Even for an ACM springer, thats way too cheap.. unless ofcourse its 90% plastic, and if thats the case, its not all that interesting.

"Announcement of Kar98 Chinese replica raised an eyebrow or two. And not only eyebrows, questions too. This pictorial update, sent in by Yul, answers a couple of questions. It appears that this is product from Boyi, and part of the WWII series."

The thing about reviews is, some poor hapless sucker has to disengage all mental faculties and common sence long enough to blindly purchase the item in question, before a review can be written..

I vote Polygon gets to do it!

Yeah, all of the "reviews" on that site are off topic crap.
I meant an actual review like on Arniesairsoft or something.

Also, the reciever seems to be metal, with more information coming later today.

Battlesim here in Washington will be getting them later next week, i'll decide for myself then. You know, when I get to hold it...
