HI guys.

I recently built 2 new PC's that are almost identical.
OS: Win7 X64
CPU: INTEL i5 2500k
Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 .
Graphics: ASUS GTX 570 & GTX 580
PSU: Corsair 600W CX & Corsair 850W TX
Sound: Creative & Corsair HS1
MEM: 8GB & 12GB

I built these new systems mainly for playing RO2 And so I have since the start.
However, just like many of you, I've had my share of performance issues.
I thought I'd give it a rest until it was patched up and running smoothly.
While going AWOL from RO2 playing Deus EX and LA Noire I noticed they were not performing well either.

A quick search and I found there are DX11 problems with these games.
But I also found indications that there might be a problem with the GTX 500 series.

I know from experience that many of the problems I've had could be related too, OC, voltage, temp fail etc.
So I was not surprised when I found many reporting they have fixed DX11 problems with a Bios/voltage update.

Read this.

I'm not saying a Voltage increase or Bios update for your GTX 5xx series card will fix RO2 which btw is running DX9.
But it

K well Im ati and I still get performance equal to a fat man squeezing down a plane isle

Sorry to hear that but this thread adresses Nvidia 500 series cards.
I'm sure you can find enough ATI problems in other games too if you look for it.
And you will often find its common for many games and not just those you play.

Just came back from HOS.
I get the same pixel distortion in HOS, Deus EX and LA Noire, witch is typical if you OC the GPU to much.
And I haven't touched it.

I can't find a Bios update for my ASUS GTX 580 so I can't test the voltage/bios update on this PC yet.
But I will test it on the other PC running GTX 570 on monday.

I'm not supprised if it does, at least for those with a GTX570 card.
I'll find out tomorrow.

If its only the 500 series then this isnt the cause for the bad performance because others have it too.

Never said it could help for anything but the 500 series and I'm not even sure it will help RO2.
But I have artifacts and problems witch looks to be common across many games.
This makes me think there could be a driver or design problem with the 500 series cards, or at least some of them.

The Bios update from Asus does not support my card but there are programs witch let me tune the voltage manually
I need to look into it a little bit before testing.

I've learned over the years that performance problems can often be related to the game engine it self.
Or it can be a common problem with the OS or graphics card, motherboard, sound card etc.

RO2 uses the UE3 engine so its a natural starting point to check for common problems.
if you can find a fix for other UE3 games it will probably work for RO2 as well.
Again: I'm just trying to help, myself and others.
