hallo

I thought the Clear Sky base might be a good idea for a KF map so I started porting content from the game, it is a slow process, depending on the texture amount, a single model on average takes about 10-30 mins to port... I could use some help with the terrain and I'll upload screens soon, heh even considering placing the Clear Sky members on KF bones :3.

I'll upload some screens when I can but I have been going for 3 days straight, I think the Fishing Halmet may be a good map too.

ideas?

Yea you can save all the mesh and textures being used by the lvl then import them in kf ED and load (textures 1st alawys then mesh) then copy paste the map (from Unreal to KF) then rename everything thats being used to MyLevel OR a seprate packet for the map (if the mylevel gets too big)

NOTE: Make sure with textures though you look in the properties and get the texture packets for the effects as well.

Also your sig is too big mate, might want to change it before you get tagged by a mod. :(

lol indeed (about the sig), will attend to that later in the week.

yes the Stalker engine is Xray, really *****y engine, the process is find the model you like, export as a .OBJ, manually find the textures through the thousands which are allready there, apply them in MAX, make sure the unit scale is on metric, rescale to 7500x the original size (lol), export as an ASE, import textures to a custom package/ in My case it's ClearSkyTextures and Stalker StaticsTex, next is just importing all the models and checking they are the correct size... which oftenly should be 250000 in MAX, I mean for a large object such as a shipping container

heh I wish it was, Xray is really unstable... and requires a fair bit of grunt in a computer to run it nicely

heh I got a nice stash of new textured models, AKS74U, LR300, Neostead2000, F2000, M203, SG552 Commando and some other stuff, SG550, Sako, FG42, AKM and muuuuuuuuuch more

sounds great, stalker series are my favourite games, i still play them often (with complete mods) its too bad unreal is such a static engine, cause it would be great to have the realtime lighting and weather effects of stalker.

if I remember correctly, I was told that if Unreal were to have that kind of thing, we'd need the source code to implement the Alife system for all this to happen, must agree on static-ness, but Unreal still provides the highest quality, I mean newer ones such as the UDK.
Stalker is My fav game series too :D
