Portal Event: For or Against?

Don't vote "for" for just the achievements? But that's the main reason I wanted it! Not everybody cares about the achievements, but some of us do. Call us "achievement whores" if it makes you feel better.

I wouldn't want it to last forever, and I'd like it to end. But if by that you meant "should it be a yearly event?" then I'd say yes, because next year there will be more people who want to fill in the rest of their achievements.

I do agree with many who said that it would be nice for there to be more to it.

For one thing, it would be nice if Glados had a few more things to say. The repertoire seems a bit limited, so it gets repetitive. If I have a complaint, that's it.

And I hope there continue to be achievements and maps added for the other events every year. KF (or any game) threatens to stagnate if there are no new challenges and no new content. I find myself playing modded servers these days, except when a friend asks for help with something.

Well thats because an event like isnt meant to last forever. Most likely it'll be over by the weeknd, or by the end of next week. Since summer has officially started, it should be today that they change it, but if not, then maybe the start of next month is when they decide to do it.

This is the second update that didnt break our modded servers... Im all for it!

As long as there are no more achievements added and only old ones get re-activated I can't complain.(adding new achievements bork serverperks mod, and allmost the entire modding community uses this)

I thought there might be new achievements but i guess it's just a chance for ppl that missed out last year to get them - which itself is a good thing.


Even better thou IMO the portal map trader should remain glados - and the achievements should be obtainable whenever.

Just a simple straw poll to see what the community's general opinion is on the portal event. Please don't vote for or against just because of the achievements.

I've been out of the loop for awhile, so I really don't know what's going on...

Didn't they already do a portal event some time ago? Why are they doing it again?

It's always nice to see something different for a while, but the only problem I have with the event is the potato money not glowing like the regular money. Makes it harder to spot out sometimes.
