There is definitely something wrong when a satchel exploding 10 meters away takes out an undamaged Panzer IV.
Welcome to war.
PORSCH said:I play as german zapper 98% of the time, and use the satchel without killing myself, BUT there are some situations (rare ones) in wich you are just doomed, you are already dead, so in that case, I grab my satchel and try to take with me as many Ivans I can, IRL it happend, pretty often? guess not, but who really knows that?, loyalty and fanatism mixed together equals a big boom.
BUT I hate to see some jackasses who just go full frontal and boom, thats just the way they play, thats not the way, its a last resort.
ask yourself what were you doing so close in the first place. It's like the people who cry about nades.
satchel, and clowncar death can be attributed to bad situational awareness and bad teamwork.
I need to find some video of the "clown car", I doubt they just 'putted' into battle like the "Joad Family". If I were a driver, certain situations may call for "pedal to the metal" speeds and what not.[5.SS]Strother said:I don't really care one way or the other, maybe I favor the people crying more. But your quote is a total mute point. If you are defending in close quarters, and someone pulls a satchel out and primes it and runs around the corner right in your face and blows up, then you wern't the one that was too close. If you have to defend a position you have to defend it, sometimes people use suicide satchel rushes to take you out, and you might not even notice him untill he is on you. It has nothing to do about you being to close to him.
Suicide satchels (not throwing satchels) and clowncar tactics are unrealistic and abusive of the game engine (especially clowncars). This game is suppose to be more about realism than gameplay, therefore clowncar should be reviewed, but you can't really do anything about satchel suicides.
